Comfort bikes

Comfort Bikes are the "New" design with comfort being the most important component. More upright riding position and better materials at the all important "contact points" where the saddle, seatpost, grips and tires are made to give hours of pleasurable riding.

Sport comfort bikes are perhaps the answer to many people who never understood the 10 speed. We have here in Fairport a wonderful riding experience waiting on the Canal Path. These bikes are made to just have a completely enjoyable experience riding happily and comfortably on the path. Bicycle designers listened to us and began to agree that bicycle riding should not include any discomfort. It isn't just new materials but also a new frame design. They moved the seat backward and behind the pedals and brought the handlebars back to the rider. This new position helps us sit up straight and combined with Gel seats and shock absorbing forks and seat posts, all the contact points are now insulated from the vibrations caused on by the riding surface and we are also not leaning forward. The original reasons were for wind resistance and weight distribution but there are some of us who care more about comfort than efficiency. More about feeling great after the ride rather than numb rumps and stiff necks.
