Tuesday Night Rides
We meet at the bench outside the store and depart promptly at 5:45pm. Please arrive a few minutes earlier to sign the liability waiver & make sure your tires are aired properly.
Routes are about 20 miles long, stretching to 25 - 30 miles at the peak of summer. We always head east, northeast or southeast of Fairport, on rural roads in Macedon, Penfield, Walworth, Victor and Farmington.
The pace of riding is about 12 - 20 mph. While we are not competitive, nor are we moving at break-neck speed, the routes are not always suitable for beginners. While longer rides might be "flat", shorter routes always include hills.
Mountain bikes or other such "fat tire" bikes are not recommended. Hybrids are better, but road bikes are best. Faster riders may move ahead at their own pace, following the planned route. This method allows folks to ride at a clip that suits their style.
All riders will wear a helmet and follow the rules of road riding.
There are no S.A.G. wagons following us; carrying a cell phone, spare tube, tire levers & pump may come in handy. For riders who don't have eyes in the back of their head, a mirror is highly recommended.
I look forward to seeing you on one of our rides! Please feel free to contact me at 388-1350 for more details, or at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for your interest and remember that T.N.R @ RV&E is all about
Camaraderie, Companionship and Conversation… without the Competition!!
