For 2" hitches, this extension gives you more clearance for your bike rack or trailer away from the vehicle. The insert tube is threaded, by bolting in the extension, you get rid of 80% of the play and rattle vs extensions that use a pin. Included is the 8" extension, hitch bolt, and lock pod. Allows BackStage, MonoRail & SplitRail racks to fold flat on Wrangler and other cars with spare tires. Works well with all bike racks including Thule, Yakima, and Kuat. Introducing the DropTop; our next locking bike fork mount that grows upon years of feedback and use. The DropTop utilizes a TPU overmolded shim to allow for both 12mm and 15mm axles to fit without the need for switching shims out. It is based upon the same clamshell design as the DriveShaft series, which allows for easy loading and adapts to minor differences in axle diameter or contouring. This is a one bike add-on to turn your MonoRail 2-inch (sold separately) into a three bike carrier. Simply remove the end cap from the MonoRail, slide the attachment in and it quickly secures with two bolts. The cable lock included with the MonoRail is long enough to secure all three bikes. Simply and easy. Not compatible with 1.25-inch MonoRail.
